Regular meeting of LIHAC was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1st by President Jim Wilson at MCL Cafeteria.
New members Ken and Kimberly Prieboy from Monticello were introduced. Roll call taken with only 49 members present. Jim welcomed the members back that had been away for the winter.
Health and Concern reported on Howard Lumley and Jim Bowyer who are now doing better.
The drawing was held with the MCL gift card being drawn for Joe Goss, but his name tag was at home in his winter coat. Curt Williams won the MCL card and the free membership for a friend went to Tom Heath, and Mike Luenz won the Dog n Suds gift card.
Minutes were approved by Sandy Freed, seconded by Barry Wheeler as printed on the web site.
Pam Luenz gave the treasurer's report. The club currently has $2,774.07, with an additional $903.04 in Savings. Pam reported she had mailed letters to the members who had not paid dues for 2014 and had good results and we now have 100 paid members with only 8 members not paid for the current year. Several have paid in advance for 2015.
Harold Williams reports he is still the caretaker of the Dammit Doll and would gladly pass it along to a new caretaker. The Golden Spike remains in the hands of the secretary.
No old business was brought to the Presidents attention.
New Business consisted of coming events such as the Men's Breakfast on the 3rd Friday each month. Only 8 men attended last month. Dolores Findlay passed a sign up sheet for the April Ladies' Luncheon. Fran Larch will be hostess for lunch on Thursday April 24th at the Outback Steakhouse. Pam Luenz announced the Ladies' Lunch for May 12th at Jane's Deli on 4th Street. That will be a wine tasting event. Bingo on April 27th at the Wildcat Creek Conservation Club beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Gene McKinley will be aboard the Honor Flight to Washington DC on May 5th. He will be accompanied by his son. Members gave him a big applause and thanked him for his service.
Several other event plans were discussed but nothing confirmed. Several other events were announced that were not LIHAC sponsored events.
With no other business to discuss a motion to adjourn was made by Bob Findlay seconded by Bob Burkhalter. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
