LIHAC MINUTES MAY 5, 2014

President Jim Wilson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the MCL Cafeteria.

One guest, Bob Smith, was introduced by Frank Hildebrand. He is a Naval retiree and with the Thunderbird Club. LIHAC will be joined with the Thunderbird Club of Indiana for the Indiana Veterans Car Show on June 1st, 2014.

52 Members answered roll call and no new members were present.

Annette Williams, Health and Welfare, reported Pat Wilder doing well after surgery. Also, she reported Bob Peterson was having some health issues. She had spoken to Kent Shishler and his daughter that received a heart transplant was doing very well.

Rob Blubaugh won the MCL gift card. Brandon Stevens won the free membership and Howard Lumley won the Dog n Suds gift card.

The Secretary read the minutes. Jerry Barnett moved they be approved as read. Bob Burkhalter seconded.

Pam Luenz, Treasurer, reported a balance of $2,602.07 in checking and $903.04 in savings. Pam reported we have 104 memberswho have paid their dues.

Harold Williams still has the Dammit Doll and has found a new use for it. Whoever receives it next may find it soaked in oil! Harold reported the next Men's Breakfast to be on May 16th and that approximately 20 men attended the last one.

Old Business: Gene McKinley reported on his Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Gene thanked everyone for seeing him off and to greet him upon his return. He shared the itinerary with us. Sounds like he had a wonderful trip.

Malcolm Miller had three Discharge Certificates of his Grandfather's from the Civil War. He had enlisted at 12 years of age. These were in remarkable good condition.

New Business:

Brandon spoke about upcoming events. Watch the web page for information. The LIHAC car show at the Veterans Home on June 1st, 2014 will be followed with a Mystery Trip ending at Dog n Suds. Tom Cobb is planning a trip to Michigan. More details later. Harold Williams is planning a trip to the Covington Beef House May 21st. Meet at the new McDonald's on old US 231 at 9:30 a.m. Monticello Cruise-in began tonight and will be on each Tuesday evening for the season.

No other business was brought forward. Jerry Barnett moved the meeting be adjourned. Howard Lumley seconded. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
