President Brandon Stevens called the LIHAC meeting to order on July 5, 2016, at the MCL Cafeteria. We had one guest, Pennie Layton, of St. Louis, sister of Pam Luenz. New members Sam and Jadia Haughey were introduced.
Brandon recognized those with anniversaries and birthdays.
Secretary, Jean Gosma read June's minutes and they were approved as read.
Treasurer, Pam Luenz gave the Treasurer's report with a balance in checking of $3994.93. Savings and CD's remain the same. Membership is currently at 110 members.
Linda Cobb gave the Care and Concerns in the absence of Annette Williams. Harold Williams had a stint put in today. Cards were sent to John Gambs, Damon Hayes, Pat Lawson and July Bunnell.
Drawings: MCL Gift card went to Mike and Lori Cornell,
Dog n Suds Gift card to Ramon Stewart and Membership went to Calvin Fieleke.
Pam Luenz reported on the June Ladies Luncheon. 16 Ladies were present to taste wine and have a good time. Doris Walton is hosting July's ladies luncheon at the Garden Gate Tea House in Delphi.
Men's June breakfast had 20 present. Next breakfast is July 15th. at 8:30 a.m
Bobby Burkhalter reported on the Frank Hildebrand car show at the Veteran's Home. 24 LIHAC and 12 Thunderbird members were there with cars. Joe Goss reported on St. Anthony Healthcare car show. 7 cars were there and many residents came out to see the cars.
July 3, Pre Dog n Suds tour was cancelled due to rain. A few showed up at the Dog n Suds in the afternoon.
Tom Cobb announced the July 9th. Breakfast Tour will not be on July 9th. but at later date. There is still room for more on the Louisville Christmas light tour. This is the last call, if interested see Tom. Also, Pat Lawson really appreciated the antique cars that was in the funeral procession for her husband, Mike Lawson.
Marty Burkhalter announced the LIHAC Picnic will be Sunday, July 24th. at the Columbia Park Red Shelters 3 and 4. The Club provides the meat and drinks. Bring a covered dish to share, table service and lawn chairs. It's always a fun time. Time is 1:00 p.m.
Curt Anderson thanked Tim Lange for presenting him with a framed picture of his antique car. Well done!!
Don Gosma announced a Auction at the White County Fairgrounds this Saturday. Some interesting antique items. Also, August 19 and 20th, the Gosma's, will host antique cars and hit and miss engines etc. All are welcome to come.
Eldon Fredericks is hosting the LIHAC Car Show at University Place on September 25, 2016, from 11 to 2. They will serve lunch for LIHAC Members.
Don't forget the August event at the Roger Miller Farm. We'll need a count at the next meeting. LIHAC will provide the meat and drink. Bring a covered dish to share and table service. This will be at noon on Saturday, August 27th. Watch the web site for more information.
Joe Goss reported on the Model A National Meeting in Toledeo, OH. Said it was a great meet, scenic driving and great meals. It was also reported Brandon ran out of gas at Delphi, again!
Steam and Power Show will be one day July 30, 2016, at the Tipppecanoe Ampitheater.
Malcolm Miller is needing volunteers to help with the National Packard Meeting which he is trying to schedule for Lafayette, IN in 2019. If interested, see Malcolm.
Gene Gangwer distributed post cards with information on the September 11th. Show at the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Show time is 12 to 3. Several trophies will be awarded.
Reminder that the LIHAC Auction will be during the September meeting and we will be dining a little earlier than usual.
