President Brandon Stevens called the December LIHAC Meeting to order December, 6, 2016 at the MCL Cafeteria. He introduced Lt. Stephen Dahl, of the Salvation Army, who then spoke for a few minutes on their cause. While he was speaking, Brandon passed the fish bowl around for those who wanted to make additional donations.
Secretary Jean Gosma read the minutes and they were approved as read.
In the absence of Pam Luenz, Jo Williams gave the Treasurer's report with a balance in checking of $4738.36, Savings balance of $1028.07. CD's totaling $1090.10. 2016 membership at 112. 2017 membership at 61. If you haven't paid your dues, please do so.
Drawings: MCL Gift card went to Don Gosma, Membership for a friend to Marlene Peterson and the Holiday Gift card to Calvin Fieleke.
Care and Concern: Annette Williams reported cards were sent to Dolores Findlay, Jim and Sandy Wilson, Virginia Manier in the death of her husband and to Damon Hays in the death of a sister. Annette read a message from Jim Wilson who stated his health is deteriorating and hospice has been called in. He did say he still liked cookies. Linda Cobb and Jean Gosma will fill in for Annette during Jan. Feb and March while she is in Florida. If you know of someone who needs a card, please let one of these ladies know.
December 11th. will be our Christmas Party at Stidham United Methodist Church from 3 to 6 p.m. Please bring finger foods, appetizers, desserts or munchies. Please bring your serving utensil. Table service and drinks will be provided by the Club. Directions to the Church are on the web site.
LIHAC Ladies luncheon will be December 9th. at Grindstone Charley's.
LIHAC Men's breakfast 8:30 a.m. on the 3rd Friday at the Downtowner located in Market Square Shopping Center.
2017 LIHAC Events planning meeting will be December 13th. at MCL Cafeteria at 5:45.
The Golden Spike remains with Joe Goss and the Dammit Doll remains with Brandon Stevens.
Tim Lange reported on the Louisville Christmas Lights Tour. Sounded like a great trip with the exception of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Calvin Fieleke reported on the road trip to Delphi. It was a great day and a great drive. Thanks to Calvin for planning this trip on short notice. 20 LIHAC members attended.
