President Brandon Stevens called the LIHAC meeting to order on December 5, 2017 at the MCL Cafeteria.
Roll call was answered by 40 members and one young guest, Elijah Johnson.
Brandon introduced Lt. Stephen Dahl from the Salvation Army. He explained some of the activities they are doing during the Holiday Season including a new program titled Pathway of Hope. A monetary collection from the members was collected and $395 plus a $100 check from the Club was presented to Lt. Dahl.
Care and Concern: Linda Cobb is filling in for Annette Williams for the winter. If you know of a concern, let Linda know. Jerry Barnett is having trouble with a knee, Eldon Fredericks has started his new treatments and Gene McKinley is having an eye problem.
Drawings: MCL Gift card went to Brandon Stevens, Membership for a Friend went to Ramon Stewart. And the $25 Gift Certificate to Payless went to Janet Lange.
New Business: The LIHAC Calendar will be on the web site. If you want to host a tour see Tim or Tom. More can be added to the calendar.
Treasurer Pam Luenz gave the Treasurer's report with a balance in checking of$4524.06 and Savings Balance of $1059.19. CD's remain the same. $245 has been collected for the quilt raffle. Membership stands at 107 members.
Secretary Jean Gosma read the minutes. One correction. The Christmas Party on December 10th. will be at 2 p.m. instead of 3 p.m.
Linda Cobb is hosting the Ladies Luncheon at the Longhorn Steak House on December 12, at 11:30.
For the Christmas Party at Stidham United Methodist Church, table service and drinks will be provided. You will need to bring your own serving utensils. The directions will be on the web site.
Tim Lange reported on the Wilmeth Building tour at Purdue. Interesting new building.
Men's breakfast will be Friday, December 15th.
Pam Luenz encouraged everyone to attend the lights at the Indianapolis Zoo. The Pavilion area has several buildings of Santa's Village. Dates are Dec. 6 thru Dec. 10, Dec. 13 thru Dec. 23 and Dec. 26 thru Dec. 30. The hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Silent Movie Night with Ken Double at the organ will be January 26, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Watch web sit for more information.
Reminder: If TSC closes or cancels school on the day of a LIHAC meeting, the meeting will be cancelled.
Incoming President Tim Lange presented Brandon Stevens with a plaque of his antique truck. Thanks Brandon for a job well done as LIHAC President.
