The October 2, 2018, LIHAC meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. by President, Time Lange. 57 members and 3 guests answered roll call.
The Secretary's minutes of the September 4th meeting was read and approved.
The Treasurer, Pam Luenz reported that there were checks written in September for a total amount of $41.60. The checking account now has $4264.80, the savings account earned another penny for a balance of $1053.29 and the CD now has $537.69. There was a deposit of $1507.00 and that was from the auction of $1042.00 and 31 membership dues.
Annette Williams of Care and Concern cards reported there weren't any cards sent in September.
There are 13 birthdays and 3 anniversaries in October.
The MCL gift card went to Kay Price, the Dog n Suds to Gene Gangwer, and to recruit a new member went to LeMoyne Senesac. Lemoyne passed the one year free membership to Don and Debra Watters, who were planning to join. They are from Logansport, Indiana, and they have a 1962 Studebaker Lark.
Joyce Miller had hosted the Ladies Luncheon September 19th at the Stone House in Delphi. There were 22 ladies that had a wonderful time. The October Ladies Luncheon will be at Logan's Roadhouse, Lafayette, October 18th, hosted by Pam Luenz.
Harold Williams reported on the September Men's Breakfast 19 in attendance and the October breakfast will be the 19th at the Downtowner.
The Eldon Frederick's Memorial Car Show held September 16 at University Place had 18 cars, it was a great afternoon.
The tour to Turkey Run hosted by Harold and Jo Williams had a good time, 12 cars with 25 people.
The Westminster Car Show, September 26, was attended with 12 cars. The Club was happy that the facilities' volunteers brought the residents out to view the cars.
The Tour to Cayuga, the Apple Orchard and Greencastle, lead by Tim and Janet Lange was very successful. We had a beautiful day.
A Breakfast Tour is planned for October 13th by Tom and Linda Cobb. Meet at McDonalds on old 231, leaving at 8:30.
Tom Cobb is chairman of the Election Committee, if you have any suggestions, let him know. Election of officers will be at the November meeting.
The Dammit Doll is living with Bill Layton and the Golden Spike is hanging out with Marlene Peterson.
LIHAC now has 102 members for 2018 and 58 have renewed for 2019. There are 2 new families that joined, Tom and Pat Porter from Lafayette, and Don and Debra Watters from Logansport.
The next LIHAC meeting is November 6th.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting and it was seconded.
