Meeting was called to order by Vice-President Jeff Findlay
Roll call was taken with 40 members present
Secretary's minutes of the September 6th meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer's report was not given as Nancy had a conflict at the last minute and could not attend.
We had no Birthday or Anniversary list to read, birthdays for the month who were attending the meeting, were Linda Cobb, Jo Williams, Harold Williams
Anniversaries of those attending were Bob and Doris Walton, Gene and Bev Gangwer, Harold and Jo Williams
Gene Gangwer spoke about the Newport Hill Climb and showed his trophy. Gene reported he was the oldest driver.
Care and Concerns. It was reported the Jeannine Corbett's 15 year old granddaughter has been diagnosed with cancer.
We didn't have tickets for the drawings so we tore up papers to sign up
Winners were. Arni Deb Courtney Membership for a friend. Linda FindlayCertificates will be given to them at the November meeting.
Jeff Findlay told about the Speakeasy at the Fowler House. They had contacted the club for having some cars brought to be on display and for attendee's to have their picture taken with
They wanted late 1920 cars. Bob Findlay, Jeff Findlay and Bobby Burkhalter took cars to the event. The Fowler house made a $300 donation to the club for their participation.
Deb Courtney reported that there were 5 attendees at the ladies luncheon at Digby's
No one was certain how many attended the men's breakfast we had numbers from 10-30, but they settled with 6 since that was enough to win.
Sign up sheet was passed for signing up for the Tour to Turkey Run.
Christmas Party was discussed that it will be on December 11th. We will be going snacks again, along with some entertainment and a silent auction.
It was suggested we bring nicer items for the auction instead of the smaller quick sell items, Also we won't start until 1:00 as that is when we can get into the church
So don't arrive too early and have to just sit outside in your cold vehicle
Gosma's reported on the Tour to Wolcott for lunch and ice cream back at their place. 12 Antigue cars ran the tour along with some modern vehicles. Jim Courtney ran out of gas on the tour.
The dammit doll was given to Jim, then he handed it to me for Joe Goss (he was at Hershey) he ran out of gas on the way to University place.
Afternote**. I hung it on the handle to the china cabinet -where it has hung off and on for years he's been home 7 days as I am typing this and hasn't notice it.
The Golden Spike remains with Dave Hackney
