The LIHAC Board has meet twice in the past month to discuss and finalize some changes. Last month Ed Wagoner suggested we go with a Lifetime Membership in order to raise some money for the club.

This was discussed by the board and it was decided comparing life membership to other clubs-maybe we should have some incentives to do this and if we just gave a rate out would the money run out in 5 years.

It was decided to table this discussion until more research could be done, we will look at this idea during the year of 2024 to see if we can come up with some incentives for the younger members, with the age of most of

our members- the Board wasn’t sure it would benefit the majority of our membership.

It was then decided at this time to just raise the annual dues for everyone to $20.00 per year. We would really like to stress that members pay before the end of the year in hopes of getting a new roster to be current.

At this time if you need an address or a phone number for a member contact one of the officers, they all have the updated membership at this time.

It was also decided that we would have the Silent Auction at the Christmas Party on December 10th.

The Board also addressed the free membership for a friend, over the years we have found the majority of the recipients attend a meeting and then we never see them again, the Board has decided to discontinue this drawing each month at the end of this year. All free memberships for a friend will be accepted for new members thru 2024.

The Board also met to discuss a new website. Nancy questioned Find8 about not being notified of the date and amount being taken from our account. They did not appreciate being questioned.

We have found the website not to be very user friendly for most of our members - Tim Lange its working on a new site for us.

The Board also thanked Tim for sending out the weekly updates on activities - everyone appreciates this.
